Despite the Federal Court of Appeals ruling quashing the approval of the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion, Justin Trudeau is doubling down on building the dirty Tar Sands pipeline. Today he said, “When you look at the heart of the decision, the court actually gives a path forward.”

Looks like he isn’t getting it! Nothing can change the scientific, economic, Indigenous and community consensus against this dirty Tar Sands pipeline.

That’s why it’s so important we are “Rising for Climate” with hundreds of thousands around the world on Saturday. We are putting forward a vision for a sustainable future - which does not involve trampling on Indigenous rights, ruining the water we drink, the air we breathe or the planet on which we all depend. We are working together to show the alternatives, and we are growing.

As British Columbia is engulfed in smoke and flames, Prime Minister Trudeau continues to be hell-bent on wasting billions of taxpayer money on buying one ageing Tar Sands pipeline and trying to build another - the movement to stop this disaster has only grown more determined.

We are working to build our future, not a pipeline. We demand the government of Canada do the same.

Join Climate Convergence as we continue to educate, organize and mobilize to stop the Trudeau Pipeline Bailout and the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion. Without us this pipeline would have already been built, together we can make sure it never is!
