COPE is neck and neck with the right-wing NPA and we need as many volunteers as possible to get out the vote Saturday  -- to bring a political revolution to city hall!

As we all know, Vancouver’s in a housing emergency. So yesterday Jean Swanson, Derrick O'Keefe and I rallied with tenants who are under threat of mass renovictions and buyouts at 1875 Yew St in Kitsilano. We outlined COPE’s First Steps to end renovictions and protect renters backed up by a 30-page  Housing Emergency Action Plan.

As the rally concluded, we happened to pass by billionaire Chip Wilson's book launch only blocks away just as NPA mayor candidate Ken Sim was getting his book signed by Wilson. A year after Jean Swanson launched her campaign for a Mansion Tax outside Wilson's $78 million mansion, we’re getting closer to bringing in a Mansion Tax to end homelessness in one year.
