First Nations and Environmental Groups launch multiple legal challenges against Petronas LNG Project

Vancouver, BC - First Nations and environmental groups will be launching multiple legal actions against the Petronas’ PNW LNG project on Oct 27th, 2016. A press conference and filing ceremony will be held the same day at the federal courthouse in Vancouver. The massive Liquefied Natural Gas export project recently received approval from the Canadian government. It is proposed to be built overtop of some of the most sensitive and important salmon habitat in Canada - at the mouth of the Skeena River near Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
