Westridge Marine Terminal

7065 Bayview Drive, Burnaby

Trans Mountain Pipeline ULC has asked the National Energy Board for timing & consultation relief from conditions of approval for the Trans Mountain expansion to allow facility construction to begin Aug. 5, 2019. (https://biv.com/article/2019/07/trans-mountain-asking-neb-permission-begin-terminal-work-august)

We know that environmental destruction, deforestation, pollution, hazardous work practices, tree clearing, and pipeline work have been ongoing at the tank farm on Burnaby Mountain even during the quashing of TMX’s injunction and a stop work order.

WE STILL SAY NO!

We invite all to join us to rally at the Westridge Marine Terminal gates August 5th. We aim to surround the terminal with a drum circle and welcome Indigenous drummers & drummers from all four directions of the earth to join us in this effort.

We will hold ceremony for the lands and waters, and all the beings that depend on them; we will stand united to remind TMX & the Federal Government that we are still on the land and we still do not give consent.

If you'd like to bring snacks or drinks to share, this will also be a potluck event to feast our ancestors whose spirits we honour through protecting sacred lands and waters.

This gathering takes place on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish peoples, including the traditional & ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh.
