The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented public health and economic crisis that has reinforced and exacerbated existing inequalities. More recently, the uprising against anti-Black racism in North America and around the world, has brought the importance of centering racial justice in our movements to the forefront. Happening in the backdrop of the climate crisis, this moment has laid bare the consequences of our social and economic systems that prioritize profit over all else.

Now, as the BC Government and other governments across Canada begin to reopen parts of the economy, how we choose to recover and rebuild requires critical decisions. Instead of going back to ‘normal’, we need a Just Recovery, so that we build a more just, equitable, and resilient society going forward. Join 350Vancouver, a grassroots, volunteer-run organization, for an engaging online teach-in on: the principles of a Just Recovery; what it might look like in the BC context; and how we might get there.
