This weekend Surrey is hosting its annual Party for the Planet.

We are gathering to educate people about the Kinder Morgan Pipeline. Bring signs and voices. This is a peaceful, educational demonstration. We are operating on Unceded territory of the Kwantlen First Nation.

Meet at the junction of 103 ave and university Dr (near the library(https://www.google.ca/maps/@49.1901161,-122.8495177,20z?dcr=0)

The city of Surrey withdrew it's opposition to the Project in March (https://globalnews.ca/news/4081134/trans-mountain-surrey-statement-of-opposition/).

The proposed expansion would cross through Surrey near Surrey Bend Park and cross under the Fraser River, doing irreparable damage even without leakage/spills.

The Kwantlen First Nation, whose unceded territory covers most of Surrey, and specifically the Central City area, are actively opposed to the project. (http://standwithkwantlen.org/)

TD Bank, the main sponsor of Party for the Planet, is helping to finance the pipeline expansion (https://www.nationalobserver.com/2017/12/18/news/vancouverites-urge-td-bank-divest-kinder-morgans-trans-mountain-pipeline-expansion)
