Paddle for the Peace

July 8 at 1 PM - 3 PM

Vanier Park

1100 Chestnut St., Vancouver

On July 8th, our friends up north will be hosting the 12th Annual Paddle for the Peace to celebrate and defend the beautiful Peace River (

Why here?
Here in the Lower Mainland, we want to give people who cannot make it to the Paddle an opportunity to show their solidarity with the Treaty 8 First Nations and the farmers who are losing their land to Site C - as well as their opposition to a project that will affect all of us for years to come!

You're invited!
Please join us on July 8th at 1 pm at Vanier Park in Vancouver to stand in opposition to this ridiculous dam and to enjoy a fun, family-friendly circus themed afternoon of entertainment.

Want to paddle?
The BC Sea Wolves will lead a symbolic paddle from Granville Island to Vanier Park. If you would like to join the paddle, please be prepared to launch from Granville Island at 12 pm sharp. You can rent kayaks from Ecomarine Paddlesports. Sign up to paddle here:

We are also issuing a call for acrobats, street performers, puppeteers, and entertainers of all kinds, especially those related to circus! If you would like to perform at this event, please email

More details to come - stay tuned, and invite your friends and family to help STOP SITE C!
