The fight to Stop Site C has reached its most pivotal point to date.

Public letters on Site C have been flying back and forth this week between Christy Clark, John Horgan, Andrew Weaver, Treaty 8 First Nations and the Union of BC Indian Chiefs. A debate is raging about the finances of the project, and how many billions of dollars Hydro ratepayers could save by halting the project now.

It’s crucial that we continue to stand up and make our voices heard, and that’s why we’re holding a snap rally this Thursday, June 15, at the offices of BC Hydro in Vancouver.

What: Stop the Site C Dam: Urgent Rally – Vancouver
When: 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017
Where: BC Hydro offices, 333 Dunsmuir St. (Dunsmuir and Homer)
RSVP on Facebook

We’re calling on BC Hydro to respect West Moberly and Prophet River First Nations and their request not to destroy a Dunne-za grave and nearby sacred sweat lodge. We're asking BC Hydro to stop forced evictions of farmers.

We are calling for no new contracts to be signed and for no work to be done that would cause irreversible harm. We welcome the GreeNDP government's proposed BC Utilities Commission review, which should have been conducted years ago. However, there is already more than enough evidence to call for an immediate halt to the Site C dam.

Please join us this Thursday and help us spread the word by forwarding this email. Now is the time to stand up for the Peace River Valley.

Date:
