People and Planet Before Pipelines & Profit!

As Justin Trudeau and the Liberal government try to move forward with their billion dollar taxpayer bailout of Kinder Morgan and the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion project, the widespread opposition which brought the project to a crisis remains.

According to the Prime Minister, Kinder Morgan's billionaire owners told him, “The project became too risky for a commercial entity to go forward with it.” Yet somehow he finds it acceptable to pile all of this risk on taxpayers?

Now they are promising the bailout will enable pipeline construction to ramp up during the coming summer months. Not if we have anything to say about it!

We need to continue an ongoing and dynamic public opposition to the dirty Tar Sands pipeline project, as well as discuss how we will move forward to stop it once and for all.

Join Climate Convergence for a night of action and discussion. First we will gather to together for a public action at a busy intersection during rush hour, and then move to a community discussion on moving forward together.

All welcome. Bring your friends and family!

*What is an IntersAction?
It's an action where we flood an intersection on all sides with people crossing (on the light) with signs and banners without stopping the flow of traffic. This way we can be seen by and engage with the most people.
