We will be in the upcoming Pride Parade in Vancouver on Sunday, August 6, 2017! We would like show the world how much we embrace the wonderful diverse community of all who love each other and the land and water of our coast!! We will be led by the Indigenous First Nation elders and invite all hand drummers to please join us!

We welcome LGBTQ members of the community to join us. We Love This Coast was founded on the importance of speaking for the vulnerable and those with no voice, understanding that we are stronger when we support each other. We join the parade as "members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Two-Spirit community, their friends, allies and supporters in celebration of the unique spirit and culture of the LGBTQ2+ community." - Pride Parade Mission Statement

We are the 4th entry in the parade, please meet us in the set up area at 11:30 a.m. – noon. Parade starts at 1:00 p.m. (As soon as I know the cross streets of where we will post here.)

The Salish Sea is one of the most diverse ecological areas on the planet and illustrates how much we can thrive when we honour and show gratitude for all of our diversity.

Please contact me at welovethiscoast@shaw.ca to let us know that you will be joining us or like to help with planning!

In solidarity with all land and water defenders throughout the planet!

We work and live with gratitude on the traditional, unceded, occupied territories of the Coast Sallish peoples: the mi ce:p kʷətxʷiləm (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

This is our Announcement Commentary for Pride Parade!!!!!

"We Love This Coast is a grassroots group of diverse, concerned citizens that believes we must do everything as individuals and as a global community to stop the destruction of Mother Earth. Diversity and acceptance of each other as human beings is a core value of We Love This Coast.

The group feels a strong connection to the Salish Sea, and to speak for its creatures that have no voice. They follow Indigenous First Nation leadership to protect the land and water.

They participate today with gratitude to everyone in the LGBTQ community who puts love above all else for a better, unified and peaceful world."
