On Saturday Jan 23 at 7am Transmountain will be doing geotechnical work where the TMX Pipeline will cross the restored salmon spawning Stoney Creek in Burnaby. To do so they are closing the public Brunette-Fraser Greenway used by residents to enjoy this natural gem. Come bear witness and make your voice heard at this critical waterway.
When: Saturday Jan.23rd 7am-7pm.
Directions: The south gate of the Greenway is located adjacent to 8765 Government St (New Life Church) in Burnaby between Cariboo Rd and Horne St. Street. Parking on Horne St.
From Production Way/University Skytrain walk south on Brighton Ave then East along the Greenway on Government St past Cariboo Rd and cross at the pedestrian crosswalk.
The work site is located on the Greenway north from the gate and under the south side of Lougheed Hwy. You can also observe from the sidewalk on Lougheed on the bridge crossing the Greenway.
