“Threat to Al-Quds/Jersualem"

Dear Internationalist,
 
This week the Trudeau government voted against a handful of widely supported UN General Assembly resolutions upholding Palestinian rights, including one titled “Peaceful settlement of question of Palestine” that passed 145 in favour and 7 against. The resolution “reaffirmed the illegality of Israeli settlement activities and all other unilateral measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character and status of the City of Jerusalem.”

On Sunday I will be moderating a webinar titled “Threat to Al-Quds/Jersualem". The discussion will cover house demolitions in East Jerusalem, the impact of demographic changes underway, threats to the historic Al-Aqsa mosque, the eviction of Palestinians as well as Canada's role.

Later this month on December 11, CFPI fellow Yves Engler will speak on “Canada’s role in Latin America with special emphasis on Venezuela and Bolivia.”
