Build Back Green: Stop TMX

Public · Hosted by Extinction Rebellion Vancouver

Aug. 2, 2020

11 AM – 9 PM

Lower Hume Park Sapperton New Westminster.

Join Extinction Rebellion Vancouver for a day of community-building, performances, and ACTION against the expansion of the Transmountain (TMX) pipeline in the Brunette River Conservation area.
With construction scheduled to start this summer, it is crucial that we act to stop TMX and the fossil fuel extraction that has led to the climate and ecological crisis.
We must Build Back Green to create a better world for all!

This area is on the unceded territories of the Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, Qayqayt and Kwikwetlem nations and is home to eight species at risk.

Please note: This is HUME PARK near East Columbia/Braid St. Closest skytrain is Braid skytrain. Please seen in comments a map of how you can walk from skytrain into park.

This event will begin at 11 am and has no scheduled end time. We expect to be there until at least evening.

15-minute walk from Braid skytrain station
Respect social distancing guidelines - wear a mask, maintain 6 feet distance from others at all times, PLEASE don't come if you are feeling ill.
