Climate Bargaining Roundtable

Hello labour climate friends,

Please SAVE THE DATE for our fall Climate Bargaining Roundtable, which will be taking place online on Sunday October 24th, from 2 - 4pm.

We are excited to be hosting special guests Seth Klein, author of A Good War: Mobilizing Canada for the Climate Emergency, as well as a representative from the Canadian Labour Congress, to discuss the recent CLC report on Climate Action.

During the first hour, we will hear from our speakers and have time for Q&A. This will be followed by three facilitated discussion groups on how we can start bargaining for the climate in our own organizations. With many public sector unions just entering the next round of negotiations, the time is now to start thinking about how to get climate demands onto your bargaining table.

Registration details will be emailed to you in early October.

Also of interest to labour climate activists, at the October regular meeting of the VDLC we will welcome a guest presentation from ZEETAP (Zero Emissions Economic Transition Action Plan) working group, Vancouver Economic Commission. 

This will be an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions with relations to Vancouver's plans for a green transition.
