The climate change election: Five issues we should be talking about before voting day

Time is running out to address the global climate crisis and the upcoming federal election could be pivotal in determining Canada’s course of action.

>From the debate around major resource projects to how Canadians are coping after a summer of heat waves, drought and wildfires to the promise of nature-based climate solutions, there are plenty of issues that are not receiving enough attention. So what do voters need to know about each party’s climate and environment platform?

The Narwhal is collaborating with The Globe and Mail to host a conversation on all the environmental issues we’re not talking about enough in the federal election.

Join The Narwhal’s editor-in-chief Emma Gilchrist and The Globe’s climate change columnist Adam Radwanski for a live Zoom event on September 7 at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. Emma and Adam will host an hour-long discussion diving deep into the undercovered climate and environment issues that could define this election.

There are only a limited amount of spaces so make sure to RSVP today to guarantee your spot at this special event.
