Ending B.C.’s new war in the woods

Event invite: Ending B.C.'s new war in the woods
It’s a confrontation that has captured the nation’s attention.

More than 200 arrests have been made at old-growth logging blockades in the Fairy Creek and Caycuse watersheds on Vancouver Island. Then last week, at the request of three First Nations, the B.C. government agreed to defer logging in some parts of the watersheds.

But the debate about how B.C. should manage the province’s last remaining ancient forests is far from over.

So, what are the meaningful solutions?

Join The Narwhal for a live Zoom event at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET on June 17 as investigative reporter Sarah Cox chats with Garry Merkel, co-chair of B.C.’s strategic old-growth review panel.

Spaces are limited to 500 attendees, so make sure to RSVP today to guarantee your spot.
