What’s the situation at Pacific Gateway Hotel? (now Radisson Blu)

The hotel used COVID-19 as an excuse to terminate 143 of their long-term staff – many of them women of colour, some who had worked at the hotel for over 40 years. In response Pacific Gateway workers went on STRIKE!

The hotel is rebranding with a new name – Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport. Don’t be fooled – this is the same owner who terminated 70% of the staff. The BC Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress have issued a boycott of the hotel until it agrees to rehire their workers and agrees to a fair contract.
