Webinar: Art vs. Capitalism w/Stephanie McMillan - System Change Not Climate Change

Webinar: Art vs. Capitalism w/Stephanie McMillan, Sun. Aug. 13

We're excited to invite you to a webinar on an important  topic that speaks more loudly than words. On Sunday, August 13, "Art vs. Capitalism" will feature the creative force that is Stephanie McMillan. Stephanie (below left) spent many years as an award-winning and widely published cartoonist, producing editorial cartoons, comic strips, children's books, and graphic novels. She is currently painting and drawing plants and wildlife in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she's a third-generation resident. Her artwork has always reached toward social transformation and overcoming capitalism-imperialism.
Hosting the conversation will be Edie Pistolesi (above right), an ecosocialist professor of art emerita at California State University Northridge who spent decades helping her students design art projects to challenge capitalism and its injustices, including the art installation "Burning Wall Street".

Sunday, August 13, 10 am PDT, 11 am MDT, noon CDT, 1 pm EDT (US/Canada). Find the time in any timezone here. Register for the webinar here or use the button below.

And don't forget to subscribe! Our archive is rich with videos of interest to ecosocialists and those who want to learn more about ecosocialism!
