The global climate movement is taking to the streets to call for a phaseout of the fossil fuel industry - fast, fair and forever! - and doubling down on renewable energy and the truly sustainable solutions that are already working for us. There’s a little more than a week to go before the Global Days of Action to end fossil fuels on September 15-16th and the huge march in New York on September 17th. Join in to learn more about what’s being planned and how to get more involved! 

 

Join us for a webinar on Thursday, 7th September 2023 at 12 noon UTC (13h London, 8 a.m. NYC, 20h Manila) to hear about the global mobilisations being planned and the incredible work people are leading around the world – counting down just one week before the Global Days of Action!

 

You’ll get updates on the incredible, people-powered victory to protect Yasuní in Ecuador from drilling; from the Real African People’s Summit on the sidelines of the co-opted Africa Climate Summit; from marches for equity and climate sanity at the ASEAN summit, and much more. 350.org will present the next big global moment, Power Up for a rapid transition to renewable energy, in November.

In September, we will power down the fossil fuel industry: the Global Fight to End Fossil Fuels mobilisation will be a major moment to demand a fast and fair phaseout of all fossil fuels forever and for the highest-emitting countries and corporations to be held responsible for their historical debt, by paying for losses and damages caused by the climate crisis in most impacted countries and communities. 

 

In November, we will power up renewable energy rooted in justice: during the Global Power Up for Climate Solutions we will develop our vision of a world liberated from fossil fuels: how could our present and future look like if the illegitimate profits of the fossil fuel industry were redistributed equitably to accelerate the equitable transition to renewable energy?

 

In December, at COP28, we need clear and real action for an immediate phase out of fossil fuels, and to generate 1.5 Terawatt (TW) of renewable energy installed capacity per year from 2030 onwards to stay in line with 1.5C of heating. 

 

People are taking to the streets around the world and achieving some incredible victories – there’s no limit to what we can achieve if we act together.
