Join us as we journey from Broadway-City Hall to Lonsdale Quay, and back to Vancouver City Centre - experiencing all that Vancouver’s transit network has to offer. We’ll be led by Denis Agar, Executive Director of Movement: Metro Vancouver Transit Riders, who will share his insights on how our current system works and the fight to make transit better for all.
This isn’t just a tour. This is an interactive experience for you to identify what’s working, what could be improved, and how we can move better in this city. We’ll collectively brainstorm the transit priorities we need to see in this city ahead of the municipal election this October.
Transit day passes will be provided to all participants.
TALK OF THE TOWN
This event is the first of our Talk of the Town event series. In preparation for the City of Vancouver municipal elections, we invite young people (18 to 35 years old) and other interested folks to join us for fun events where we collectively experience our city, learn from experts and engage in dialogue. Join us to learn more about city issues, share ideas, and express priorities for the upcoming municipal election. Let’s shape democracy!

GLOBAL SHAPERS VANCOUVER HUB
This event is hosted by the Global Shapers Vancouver Hub. The Global Shapers Community is a network of young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional and global challenges founded by the World Economic Forum. With more than 9,000 members, the Community spans across 400+ city-based hubs in 150+ countries. In each city, teams of Shapers self-organize to create projects that address the needs of their community.
