Seniors Climate Caravan - Vancouver Launch with David Suzuki

On September 9, David Suzuki will join seniors, people of faith, climate advocates and allies in Vancouver to launch the Western Climate Caravan across Canada.
The Caravan is part of Seniors’ Climate Witness, a growing national movement calling on the federal government to fund a safe, clean future—not new fossil-fuel pipelines.
As communities across Canada experience devastating wildfires, heat and other climate impacts, seniors are stepping forward to ask a simple question: What kind of ancestors do we want to be?
The Caravan begins in Victoria on September 8 and reaches Vancouver the following morning. From there, participants will travel through Kamloops, Calgary, Medicine Hat, Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, connecting with communities along the way before arriving in Ottawa on September 18. An Atlantic Climate Caravan will also travel toward Ottawa.
Along the journey, we hope to meet people affected by wildfires, connect with Indigenous, climate, faith and community leaders, and build momentum for a week of public witness and nonviolent action in Ottawa, September 19–24.
