Organizing for POWER - on line starting Nov. 10 and 12 - 4 weeks

Hello,

We are a little more than a month away from Power-Up, O4P’s next big training on the core fundamentals of organizing, taking place across four sessions over two weeks. Click here to read more and register your group of 10+ to participate in this free global training. [Note there are two different sessions at different times so check carefully on OFP link - we believe we have listed the Vancouver time for  session starting on Nov. 10!] [Further note from organizers: There are two sessions that are accessible in the Vancouver time zone: Track A and Track B. Track A is in the morning, from 10am -12pm Vancouver time and Track B is in the evening, from 6-8pm Vancouver time. You are welcome to attend either track; the content is the same in both.]

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that our participants are as ready as possible to benefit from this training, we are providing a number of support mechanisms both before and after Power-Up.

  • As always, we will hold several orientation sessions designed specially for Group Leaders and anybody else who may facilitate a group exercise or breakout session. Get all the tips you need to bring your training cohort through this course successfully, giving everybody the best chance possible to turn what you learn into campaign wins down the road. Check orientation session times and register now.

  • We will also be holding a special session at our regular times on 20 October to help community groups get oriented toward our program and ready to participate. Do you organize outside of traditional union spaces? Join us for this one-hour program to talk about structure and everything else you’ll need to succeed in this training. Check times and register here.

  • For Group Leaders and anybody else who needs a little extra support, we have also created a series of short videos outlining everything you need to know about this program. Here is a short intro video from our co-coordinators explaining how Power-Up works. You can find the longer version plus the rest of the series here.

  • After the program we will offer feedback and/or tailored campaign support to a select number of groups who submit Plans to Win based on the work you do across our four sessions. Keep this in mind in case your organizing group could use a little more support, and keep an eye out for our emails after the course concludes.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@organizing4power.org.

Otherwise, we hope to see you at one of our upcoming preparatory sessions, as well as in our global plenary on November 10th, alongside thousands of people like yourself from across the world.

In solidarity,

Ethan
