* NDP in favour of sustainable oil sands development, Mulcair says

The New Democratic Party Leader was responding Sunday to an accusation by Stephen Harper that the NDP’s “not-so-hidden agenda” is to hamper development of the country’s natural resources.

“We’re in favour of creating markets for our natural resources, we’re in favour of developing them, but that has to be done sustainably,” Mr. Mulcair told reporters after a rally in downtown Vancouver. “And sustainable development is not a slogan, it’s something that has to become very real.”
