Nuchatlaht Support Rally! - MONDAY

Hello Ann,

On October 20th, the Nuchatlaht Nation is returning to the BC Supreme Court to get more of their land back.

A landmark decision in 2024 recognized Nuchatlaht as title holders, and in turn, gave back 1,100 hectares of their territory on Nootka Island. But in a few days, they’re appealing that decision in order to have their title affirmed father across their traditional territory.

Despite public commitments to Indigenous Rights and reconciliation, the BC NDP government continues to oppose Nuchatlaht’s rightful claim, fighting against the recognition of their title in court.

We want to make sure Nuchatlaht is not alone in this fight, so I’m calling on the Stand.earth community to do what they do best, and join in solidarity at the courts this Monday.
