Hi Ann,

Hotel workers were among the first and worst hit by the impact of COVID-19. Now, the hotel industry is asking for a big bailout from the federal government but aren't doing anything to help the thousands of workers they’ve laid off. Hotels like Hyatt - owned by InnVest, Canada’s largest hotel owner - are hurting workers by trying to strip away hard-earned working standards and refuse to extend the wage subsidy program to hundreds of laid-off workers or guarantee 24-month recall rights. The hotel industry should NOT be getting big bailouts if they refuse to lift a finger to help their workers.

Join hotel workers on Oct. 22 in a tri-city action in Vancouver, Toronto, and Ottawa, as we call on the federal government to put workers first in any industry bailout! RSVP on Facebook here.

No Recall? No Wage Subsidy? No Bailout!

In solidarity,
UNITE HERE Local 40
