Online: Ontario is burning, but we can do something about it

Event time: 4pm PST / 7pm EST
CUPE Ontario is hosting On2Ottawa for an info talk on climate work as union work. Their President Fred Hahn will be speaking. They'll also have a testimonial from a child care worker on how the climate crisis impacts their working conditions.
From CUPE:
Life as we know it is falling apart. Extreme weather events and mass species extinction cover the globe. The government has failed to implement the radical change we need, we are facing the unraveling of the ecological, social and economic systems that underpin our lives.
Come learn about what you can do -- what everyone has to do! -- to avoid the worst effects of climate breakdown and how you as a worker can make a huge difference!
Learn about On2Ottawa’s tactics and demands, and about how non-violent direct action can be an effective tool to getting the change we so desperately need.
