Retooling our World for the Future Summit- July 16

Greetings Friends,
We are thrilled to announce that on July 16, Green Jobs Oshawa will be hosting a virtual summit on the topic of building support for public ownership and transition to socially beneficial manufacturing!

The event will be a virtual gathering of a diverse array of organizers, activists and others committed to building a compassionate and more sustainable world.

This summit is an opportunity to highlight voices from across Canada as well the U.S. and how the issue of green conversion of manufacturing is something that is relevant to all of us and ties our struggles together.
Some of the fantastic speakers we'll be hearing from include:

Michael Hurley - Ontario Council of Hospital Unions
Chris Wilson and Jawara Gairey - Coalition of Black Trade Unionists
François Wilson - La planète s'invite au Parlement
Simon Black - Labour Against the Arms Trade
Adam Kaszynski - IUE-CWA Local 201
Emma Jackson - Climate Justice Edmonton
Rebecca Keetch - Green Jobs Oshawa

After hearing from our speakers, the floor will be opened up for a strategic discussion on how we can bring all of our various groups and movements together, to build towards a common understanding of how industrial conversion can lead to a more a more compassionate and sustainable world.
