Silent March Against Genocide - For Palestinian Liberation

Dear all friends and supporters of Palestine, 

The ongoing Zionist genocide -- backed and funded by the US and its imperialist partners, including Canada -- is continuing on a daily basis against the Palestinian people in Gaza. As students and families prepare to go back to school, over 90% of schools in Gaza -- and every university in the Strip -- have been targeted by the Zionist entity for bombing, destruction and massacres.

Please join us this Saturday, September 7 at 3 pm at Robson Square for the second SILENT MARCH AGAINST GENOCIDE. Let our silence and visual displays speak clearly in mass numbers for Palestinian liberation. Make it clear that we will not stop, we will not rest, until Palestine is free from the river to the sea!

It’s back to school season and while student, teachers and parents are all preparing to head back to class, over 625,000 Gazan students will not be headed back into the classroom. Not only have the children of Gaza lost primary access to education due to the occupations violent assault on institutions of learning, young children have lost their childhoods.

The emotional distress of dodging bombs and bullets, losing loved ones, being forced to flee through streets littered with debris and corpses, and waking up every morning not knowing if they will be able to eat has also left children increasingly unable to cope.

“The persistent, callous attacks on educational infrastructure in Gaza have a devastating long-term impact on the fundamental rights of people to learn and freely express themselves, depriving yet another generation of Palestinians of their future” experts have said. 

Join us to make it clear that we will not stop, we will not rest, until Palestine is free from the river to the sea!
