This global day of action, Sustainabiliteens is hosting a march and a block party for #PeopleNotProfit. The march will call for immediate climate action, with a focus on Indigenous sovereignty and a just transition. The following block party will be a communal climate action extravaganza, spotlighting transformative organisations, inspiring speakers, and local businesses. Sustainabiliteens aims to reinstill hope in the climate movement by celebrating the work being done and giving the public ways they can take tangible action, all while pressuring those in power prioritise climate justice.
The march starts at Coal Harbour park, to Van Art gallery!

Getting excited for September 23rd yet? You should be!

Join us on the streets for Vancouver’s first climate justice block party. Rooted in mobilizing and celebrating the power of our community, this year’s Global Day of Action is rooted in the joy and optimism we have for the future of our climate when surrounded by our community.

We made waves together during the 2019 climate strike, and this year we aim to host an event that further puts climate justice and joy at the center of the movement. This year, we’re asking you to join us in connecting our community under the vision of a Just Transition: a radical shift toward a more sustainable society that promotes justice for all. Join Sustainabiliteens for a day of learning, listening, and acting! You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in direct climate action, support local organizations, and join a community-wide dialogue on what we envision for the future of our climate.

By centering our collective joy and optimism, we’re setting out to show how our mass mobilization can spark climate action fueled by community empowerment instead of climate anxiety or grief.

We need your support to ensure this event has the far-reaching impact we’re striving for, so make sure to tell your friends and spread the word to join us on the streets September 23rd.

We’re so excited to see u! It will be fun and there will be food :)
