On April 16th we begin the Spring Rebellion at the Orca statue in Burrard Landing in downtown Vancouver and walk to the BC Legislature in Victoria. Over 4 days we will walk to demand that governments tell the truth about the unfolding ecological catastrophe, and be led by citizens assemblies in order to halt biodiversity loss and runaway climate change. The walk will take place on public roads and will be disruptive.
Walkers going to the Island are responsible for accommodation on the Island and transportation back to Vancouver.
Day one: Friday, April 16 @ 9:00
Opening Ceremony at Olympic Flame
Land Acknowledgment and Welcoming Speech
Part one: ~11K
Walk up Granville Street and over the Granville Bridge
Turn east on 15th Ave and take Wolfe to Oak St
East on 33rd Ave to Cambie
ETA ~1pm Marine Drive Station (Walkers can go further or bus home)
Part 2: ~11K
From Marine Station cross the pedestrian Bridge
East on River Road to Shell Road and the Shell Road Trail
Walkers May leave Walk at Steveston Highway and take bus home
Follow Trail to Horseshoe Slough Trail Head,
Follow trail to crossing at Dyke and No. 5 Road ETA ~4pm

Day 2 Saturday, April 17 @ 10:00am ~17K
From Ferry Landing follow path south to River Road.
Turn west at River Road and turn South at Arthur Drive
West on Ladner Trunk.
South on Arthur Drive to 53 (Deltaport Crossing)
West at 28
South at 52
Walk thru Mall Parking lot to Salish Drive and cross highway
Walk on Orca Way to Spit
Follow spit beach to Ferry Terminal ETA ~3pm

Day 3 Board Ferry at 11am Sunday, April 18
Follow Lochdale trail south to exit 17 to Saanichton ~10k ETA ~4pm
Walkers need to find a place to sleep in Saanichton.

Follow Lochdale Trail to Galloping Goose Trail
Cross Johnston Street Bridge
Keep right to Legislature
Walk ends @ ~3:00
