The Nuchatlaht Nation are fighting in the BC Supreme Court to get their land back through a groundbreaking title case starting on March 21. Their hahoulthee (territory) includes a large part of Nootka Island, located off the coast of Vancouver Island, which has been impacted by industrial logging and fishing for almost a century at the hands of the B.C. government and giant corporations.

Sierra Club BC has joined forces with Wilderness Committee and STAND through the Friends of Nuchatlaht initiative to help raise public awareness of this upcoming precedent-setting court case.

Join us for this webinar to see what you can do to help the Nuchatlaht Nation in its fight for sovereignty.

I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Aurora Tejeida

P.S.  For those that won’t be able to join the webinar, we’ll be sharing a recording of the event in our upcoming Sierra Life e-newsletter.
