Welcome to your pre-action briefing for XR Vancouver’s October Rebellion, happening every day October 16 - 29.

The election might be over, but extremes of weather are still battering communities across Canada and the world. Sea levels are still rising. Carbon is still spewing out of our cars. Ecosystems are still being exploited. The climate crisis is still going strong, and so are we.

We are so excited to be hitting the streets of Vancouver with you again and whether you’re a veteran Rebel or brand new to the movement, it’s going to be 14 days of action, joy, jubilation, and shared grief. So bring your face paint, your music, your love, or simply your tired, amazing selves. This is the time to move, and together we will be a movement!

Pre-Rebellion Online Briefing

Attend our Pre-Rebellion Meeting, October 15, 7pm

The October Rebellion begins at noon on October 16 at Nelson Park. We have sent an ultimatum to Justin Trudeau, John Horgan & Jagmeet Singh to end all fossil fuel subsidies before before the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in Glasgow on October 31. We will be occupying the streets, blocking bridges & shutting down Vancouver International Airport. Join us on the eve of the rebellion to learn more about our plans and how you can find your role in ending fossil fuel subsidies forever. This public meeting is free & open to all.
