Youth are going to court for the climate! Support them in Vancouver

There’s been a lot of bad news in the world of climate action lately: new pipelines, LNG project approvals and a summer of devastating climate disasters. But there’s a hopeful day coming up: the youth suing the Government of Canada for worsening climate change and violating their rights to life, liberty and security of person will finally have their day in court. This is a big day and we love to show our support for these youth — and their case — with you!

Come to all three events or just one, we're happy to have your support.

When: All day, Monday, October 26, 2026

Where: Federal Court at 701 West Georgia St. and Vancouver Art Gallery at 750 Hornby St.

What:

Send off at courthouse at 8:30 a.m.

Watch party at the art gallery from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Evening rally at 5:30 p.m. at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl'e7énḵ square (north of gallery)

Our friends at West Coast Environmental Law and the plaintiffs will be hosting a send off, a watch party and a rally. While court cases can be long, they are critical ways to both advance climate action and put pressure on politicians to take climate change seriously. Let’s show our support for these youth and ensure the government knows that the world is watching.
Hope to see you there!
