Invitation to David Gooderham's fundraiser and information sharing for his Appeal case Aug 24th
What happens in Canada when one or many stands for their beliefs in spite of a court order forbidding this action?
Meet retired lawyer David Gooderham and co-defendant Jennifer Nathan at a fundraiser for their Appeal Court case
David and Jennifer will update you on their case arising from their participating in a peaceful blockade of the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion and thereby violating a court injunction to stop these protests. They are in the appeal process having been sentenced by B.C. Supreme Court Justice Judge Affleck on March 11.
Their appeal process is expected to cost $25,000. We are asking for a donation of $20 (more or less as you can), but our dialogue and discussions with David and Jennifer are as important as the amount raised.

Music: Jay Knutson (guitar, vocalist) of Early Spirit and Peter Lepine (bass, harmonica) of The Swamp Devils Other musicians are welcome to join the celebration.
Join us in supporting David and Jennifer in their quest to bring some constructive dialogue and insight to the Canadian Courts and climate change’s impact to all of us.
I believe discussing these actions and raising our awareness about their ramifications make us all more informed citizens.
