Items for the Agenda
Please feel free to suggest your own in replies.

  • Approval of Agenda
  • What's New? (round of introductions and welcome to new groups/activists)
  • Outreach update - A lot of outreach work has been done since the last meeting.  We'll have a report and be looking for any further discussion on other organizations we should be reaching out to.  Our working document for outreach can be viewed here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15yVgN7UDoFmX644SuUIVstNNGP0tJHARILMJmvdum2s/edit?usp=sharing  Eric is also keeping the FB Event page for A29 updated with the list of confirmed endorsements.  Eric is bottom lining the Outreach so please coordinate with him for any outreach you'd like to do or see done.  There will also be a quick update on actions happening across BC and the rest of the country
  • Input on Messaging - a chance for everyone, but especially reps from groups new to PCM, to give feedback on the Why We're Marching statement and general messaging and tell us about why they're marching and how climate change and the fossil fuel industry are impacting them.
  • Speakers/Program update - we have received requests/responses from the NDP and Green Party. We're just waiting on confirmation from UBCIC on Grand Chief Stewart Phillip.  Also, Kanahaus Pelkey, one of the most inspiring frontline land defenders from Secwepemc has indicated that she will be able to speak at our Vancouver rally (as well as helping to get one organized in Kamloops!)
  • Budget - Bottom Liners for the Action and Arts and Materials committees  have been asked to bring their estimated budgets to Wednesday's meeting.  We'll also have an update on the state of the CC bank account and should hear from those groups with reps present what resources their groups or organizations can contribute.  That will make it possible for us to determine how much we need to raise from other endorsers and/or the collection at the rally itself.
    • Meet the New Treasurer...same as the old treasurer...Bill Winder.  Thx Bill!  Yash, seems to have been knocked out of commission by family and health issues, hopefully we'll hear from him again soon.  If you are needing reimbursement please bring your receipts to Wednesday's meeting or Contact Bill otherwise (might be a good idea to let him know in advance):  william.winder@ubc.ca  (he also accepts donations for CC!)
  • Art and Materials update - an update on when and where Art Builds will be happening over the next month etc.
  • Mobilization Update - an update on planned IntersActions over the next month.
  • Committees Breakout Session - time for the various committees to meet
  • Committees Report Back - any further updates from committees following breakout
