March 20

8 AM - 4 PM

8505 Forest Grove Dr, Burnaby

On Tuesday, young people will take action together for 'Our Future, Our Fight' at Kinder Morgans Burnaby facilities.

Young people have powerful potentency in the fight for climate justice because our generation will shoulder the burden of climate impacts to come. But Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is also the self-dubbed Minister of Youth, which means he's particularly exposed when young people call him out for threatening the climate with climate-destroying pipelines like Kinder Morgan.

We'll also be hosting a drop-in art build at SFU Monday night if you want to help paint banners: https://www.facebook.com/events/177654046198783/

Background on Protect The Inlet:
On March 10th Coast Salish spiritual leaders and members launched an ambitious project in Metro Vancouver to stop the Kinder Morgan pipeline. They raised a traditional Coast Salish Watch House near the pipeline route which will act as a base for resistance to the project. 10,000 people in Metro Vancouver marched in solidarity that same day. Now, bold actions are taking place to resist the Kinder Morgan pipeline.

On March 17th, 26 people were arrested after spending over 6 hours blocking the gates to the Kinder Morgan terminal in Burnaby. More bold actions are expected from March 19th to 24th.
