Come out to tell the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries just how much we care about these precious iconic creatures!

MP Jonathan Wilkinson
Minister of Oceans & Fisheries
102 - 3rd Street West (Lonsdale @ 3rd Street)

We don't have time to waste, we need immediate actions NOW!

*We demand an end to all commercial and recreational fishing until the stocks are at a level that can sustain the orcas!

*We demand the government 'cease and desist' on their plans to put 408 tankers full of bitumen through the habitat of the endangered orcas.

Please bring your signs, voice and a few friends!! We can send a powerful message that we will not stand by and watch this happen!

The Southern Resident Orca pods are declining at an alarming rate! The lack of chinook salmon and the increase in bitumen tankers will be the nail in their coffin. With the recent 2 deaths of a calf and a 3 1/2 yr old Scarlett, the pod is down to ONLY 74 members. If the pod goes below 70, there is basically no hope for their survival.

We hope to have future actions at this location, please watch for those!! :)

"When the most vulnerable are at risk, we are all at risk. We must speak for those with no voice."

This year's return of chinook salmon is dismal.
