Trudeau: People Power Will Stop Your Pipeline! *Banner Drop*

Wednesday at 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

22nd Street station

22nd St & 7th Ave, Burnaby

As part of our continuing bi-weekly outreach campaign to stop the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion, Climate Convergence is organizing another banner drop. This time over a busy overpass in New Westminster where we can reach both East and West bound traffic. [The more people we have the bigger impact we can make, so come out and show Trudeau that people power will stop the pipeline!]

There is added urgency and importance as Prime Minister Trudeau himself will be in town for a fancy fundraising dinner earlier in the day. We also encourage everyone who is able to attend the "Stop Trans Mountain Liberal Fundraiser" action being organized in the afternoon by Coast Protectors and Wilderness Committee (https://www.facebook.com/events/2324429681111377/)

The Trudeau government is set to announce its decision on the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion on June 18, and every indication is that they are continuing to rush through the motions before rubber stamping the pipeline's approval. Meanwhile Justin Trudeau continues to travel the country doubling down on the false promise that he can build the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion and protect the environment at the same time - even though his own government's scientific reports say that is impossible!

Join us as we make a public statement to counter the lies of these so-called "leaders". Our real leaders are the millions of people standing up for people and planet before pipelines and profits around the world.

We are still standing. We are still here. We are ready to fight.
