A public forum to discuss what is wrong with Trudeau's climate plan, what we can do to fight it and what the green alternatives are to expanding the Tar Sands.

Speakers:

Cedar George - Tsleil-Waututh Nation
Helesia Luke - Green Jobs BC
Merran Smith - Clean Energy Canada
Harjap Grewal - Regional Organizer, Council of Canadians

Some of the issues that will be discussed:

Why investing in the green economy would create far more jobs.

Why Trudeau's emissions math makes no sense and how ordinary working class and Indigenous people are already suffering the impacts of climate change.

How expanding the Tar Sands breaks Trudeau's promises to First Nations.

Why doubling down on the fossil fuel economy is detrimental to public services and social infrastructure.

What's wrong with a "revenue neutral" carbon tax and what the alternatives are.
