Word has just come in that RCMP are arriving to Wet'suwet'en Territory in response to the reoccupation of Coyote Camp. The Unist'ot'en Village and Gidimt'en Checkpoint are both seeking supporters on the ground.

Info on going to Unist'ot'en Village
Info on going to Gidimt'en Checkpoint

Gidimt'en Checkpoint just put out the following cal to action, as well as a recent vidoe update from Coyote Camp:

Statement from Gidim'ten Checkpoint:

"For the fourth time in four years, we have received information that dozens of militarized RCMP are en route to Wet’suwet’en territory, to facilitate construction of the Coastal GasLink pipeline and to steal our unceded lands at gunpoint. We continue to hold the drill pad site, where Coastal Gaslink plans to tunnel beneath our pristine and sacred headwaters.

RCMP have booked up local hotels for the next month. We have also received word from the Union of BC Indian Chiefs that the C-IRG unit of the RCMP – the paramilitary unit that protects private industries who are seeking to destroy Indigenous lands – are being deployed onto our lands.

We need boots on the ground and all eyes on Wet’suwet’en territory as we continue to stand up for our lands, our waters, and our future generations! If you can’t be here, take action where you stand – at investors’ offices, RBC branches, or your local police detachment.

Video Update on Coyote Camp from Gidimt'en Checkpoint:

November 18th, 2021 marked the first day of a two-day militarized raid on Gidimt’en territory to violently push forward Coastal GasLink's LNG pipeline. One month later land defenders retook Coyote Camp!

Snipers, attack dogs, assault weapons, and arrests will not stop us. We will always stand against colonial violence. When CGL burned our cabin down, the embers ignited the fires of justice! We will never back down from the fight to protect Wedzin Kwa for our future generations.

We are grateful for each other, we are grateful for all your support, and amidst ongoing colonial violence we are holding space for joy, laughter, and celebration of our magical yintah.

We are calling for supporters to join us on the ground, or take action where you stand.
