City Council has pushed forward the date for Jean Swanson's motion "Protecting Tenants from Renovictions and Aggressive Buy-Outs."

The new date for people to speak to the motion is Wednesday December 5th at 3PM at City Hall. Mark your calendars!

Thank you so much to everyone who has wrote in their support of this motion. Over 70 of the 90 people who are signed up to speak on the 5th came through the work of our membership!

This means our work is not done yet. We have more time to organize and mobilize people to come out to City Hall on the 5th of December but so do real estate interests and landlords!

Next Steps

  • If you have signed up to speak, the City should have sent you emails with your speaker number and the new date and time. If you haven't received this information, please email speaker.request@vancouver.ca to inquire about your request to speak to Motion B10.
  • You can still sign up to speak at City Hall or email the mayor and city councillors in support of motion B10 by
  • Can you send this information to five friends? We need mass public support for this motion to pass!

Come to our November General Meeting on Saturday November 24th at 5:30PM

Location:
221A East Georgia Street

We'll be debriefing on the actions to Ban Renovictions, maybe organizing a RALLY and helping people with their speeches or letters to City Hall. More information and an agenda will be emailed to our members a week before the meeting.
