One last message to the Port: we don't want US coal in our communities. Join us to mark the end of the comment period by showing the Port that we stand firm against their coal port plans.

We're winning. [Yesterday,] on behalf of it's 500,000 members, Vancity released a letter to the Port Authority saying it must not proceed with a coal port at Fraser Surrey Docks until our Health Authorities' concerns have been met.  [Just minutes ago] (yesterday) Delta and White Rock councils both passed motions rejecting the coal export environmental assessment as inadequate.   Our momentum continues to build, and we're not going away.

Can you join us today (Tuesday) for a powerful silent demonstration to help drive this message home to the Port?

Tuesday at 4 pm is the end of the Port's comment period on the coal export assessment. It's the perfect time for citizens to gather together to send a strong message:  we're vigilant, we're determined, and we're going to insist that you take our concerns seriously, as well as those of local governments and our health authorities.
