Metro Vancouver’s transit authority, TransLink, just slashed services that tens of thousands of us rely on, including frontline and healthcare workers and ordinary British Columbians who take the bus or SkyTrain to work every day.[1]

It’s all because TransLink’s revenue has halved due to COVID-19. And without emergency funding, TransLink is warning that greater - and more drastic cuts - are imminent.[2]

But during the pandemic, over 75,000 people still depend on TransLink every day to get to essential work, food, and medicine.[3] If we lose this essential public transit, it could leave these tens of thousands of us without access to our basic needs — and worsen the current health crisis.
