The fight over the Canada's TMX pipeline, which is being constructed through hundreds of kilometers of Indigenous territory without consent, is not over. Our volunteer editorial board is planning a series of articles this summer about the pipeline and resistance to it, and thanks to your support earlier this year, we are able to pay contributors to this series nearly double our usual pay rates. We will pay between $400 to $600 per piece.
We are especially hoping to bring attention to lesser-known, grassroots resistance efforts that other media may have missed or underappreciated. To do this, we could use your help spreading the word about the call for pitches, and call for an Indigenous editor.

Call for pitches
Do you or someone you know have an article you'd like to write about TMX? Or an audio, video, or photo feature you'd like to put together? Send your pitches in any time. Before June 30th is ideal, but we will consider pitches after. More info here.

Call for Indigenous editor
We are also looking to hire an Indigenous editor to work on this for five weeks, ten hours a week, at $20 per hour. Schedule is highly flexible. To apply, interested applicants should send a paragraph or two explaning their relevant experience and why they would be a good candidate, along with links to past writing or editing work. Applications should be sent to info@mediacoop.ca by end of day tomorrow, June 21st. More info here.
