Support Indigenous Land Defenders

 

Dear supporter of Land Defenders:

 

As so many of you know, Kanahus Freedom Manuel is a tireless warrior who has been standing up for indigenous sovereignty her whole life. She is constantly on the front line of the struggle at great personal cost to herself and her family.

 

She has recently been spending time at the Standing Rock water protection camp, working tirelessly to get the message of that struggle out to all of us who cannot be there physically to support.

 

Kanahus will be coming back to her community this week and is in need of a vehicle to get her back to Standing Rock.

 

We are sending this note as a call to you all to contribute what you can to the purchase of a vehicle to assist her in the important work she is doing. We are aiming for 7000$ to buy a reliable, safe car and insurance for a year. This will significantly relieve Kanahus of the stress of getting transportation to the front lines where she is an invaluable resource to her people.
