Last week, Trans Mountain said its pipeline expansion project is on schedule to be done by the end of 2022.

But the environmental non-profit Wilderness Committee says it appears Trans Mountain has missed its window to start key construction work in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, meaning the project is at risk of at least a two-month delay. And that’s if everything else goes perfectly ⁠— if not, it could be up to 14 months late.

A group of Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth climate activists have filed to trademark the 'Take Back Canada’ slogan used by Conservative Party of Canada Leader Erin O’Toole.

An environmental law group wants a court to suspend the Alberta government's inquiry into oil and gas industry critics until there's a decision on whether it's legal.

The United Conservative government contends foreign interests are bankrolling environmental opposition to Canadian fossil-fuel projects.

In June 2019, It appointed forensic accountant Steve Allan to head a public inquiry.

More than a dozen environmental organizations in Canada are calling on the federal government to attach “green strings” to its economic recovery measures that prioritize both workers and efforts to address the climate crisis.

I'm back with another update, as it has been a big day in the insurance world. Earlier today, the news broke that two German insurers, Talanx and Munich Re, are dropping their insurance policies for the Trans Mountain tar sands pipeline and ruling out the tar sands sector entirely, following years of campaign pressure and Indigenous-led engagement!
