Media coverage of the planetary emergency often can't be monetized, which is one reason why it's of little interest to Rupert Murdoch and wannabe Rupert Murdochs

They urged editors to pay far more attention to the Global North's "moral responsibility to move much faster in reducing their emissions".

[Note: Mine was just one of many, sometimes very eloquent, presentations to Council on the topic Future of False Creek South: Advancing a Conceptual Development Plan and Addressing Lease Expiries.  The meeting extended over three days because of the large number of presentation, (over 170 signed up to speak), and only very few were in favour of the plan.  The presentations may be viewed/heard on the videos of the Council here starting on Oct.

Returning to his apartment building with a grocery bag in hand, one resident of a South Seattle senior living community was greeted by a courtyard filled with picket signs.

“They didn’t lock you up? They didn’t send dogs on ya?” he asked his protesting neighbors. “This one has warrants out in ten states,” he joked with one of the protestors.

On most days, Doug Ford’s Conservative government in Ontario does not respond well to problems, or it actively makes things worse. Nevertheless, he managed to deceive some into thinking he managed well.
