[Editor: Too bad that the Author's answer to the question "So what can people do to push back against this barrage of disinformation and denial?" is only "We can all write letters to our MPs, demand more action from the federal government now, for a start."  Though she does say ". . for a start"!! ]

LNG=Fracking, Fracking=LNG

October 26, 2018

The oil and gas industry is hailing a new fossil fuel project—dubbed LNG Canada—as a huge breakthrough that supposedly shows that it’s competitive to deliver Canadian fracked gas to markets in Asia. Book Cover:The Return of Nature

September 9, 2020

For me, ecology began with Rachel Carson’s “The Silent Spring” in the 1962 New Yorker, continued with Barry Commoner’s “The Closing Circle” in 1971, and finally reached full bloom with a torrent of books soon afterwards touching on global warming, desertification, species extinction, water and air pollution, etc. I, of course, knew about Engels’s observations in “The Part played by Labour in the Transition from Ape to Man” about the pine forests in the Alps but between Engels and Rachel Carson, it was a bit of a blur.
